Equation Hi Lo ("we", "the game", "this site") is a free, browser-based multiplayer game. This policy explains what information is handled when you play at equationhi.lol.

Information We Collect

We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal contact information. We do not operate a database and we do not store your gameplay on our servers after a game ends.

To make the game work, we store a small amount of data locally in your own browser (via localStorage), which never leaves your device except to identify you to the game server during play:

A randomly generated player ID
The display name you choose for a game
A color assigned to your player
A timestamp used to expire the above after about one day

You can clear this at any time by leaving a game or clearing your browser storage.

Cookies and Advertising

This site displays ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Data Security & Retention

Because we do not maintain a user database, there is no stored personal data for us to retain or delete. Game state is kept in server memory only while a game is in progress and is discarded when the game ends or the server restarts.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
